About The Position

This position will wear many hats and have the opportunity to grow alongside the company. This is not a high-pressure sales role or executive-level “Director of Business Development” position. Instead, this role is designed for someone who can help strengthen and organize our business development efforts, support long-term relationship management, improve CRM and client follow-up systems, coordinate proposals and marketing efforts, help tell the story of our projects and people, and become a key connector between clients, leadership, marketing, and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist leadership with maintaining and strengthening relationships with clients, developers, architects, brokers, engineers, municipalities, and community organizations.
  • Help coordinate follow-up communication with prospective and existing clients.
  • Maintain organized records of client interactions, opportunities, and project pursuits.
  • Support ongoing client touchpoints before, during, and after projects.
  • Assist in developing systems for repeat client engagement and long-term relationship management.
  • Help identify opportunities to reconnect with former clients and referral partners.
  • Research and evaluate CRM software and business development tracking platforms that align with company operations and long-term growth goals.
  • Assist leadership with implementation and organization of a company-wide CRM system.
  • Coordinate collection, organization, and input of current and historical client information into CRM databases.
  • Develop processes for maintaining accurate client records, project history, contacts, follow-up reminders, and communication tracking.
  • Help create systems to improve visibility into project leads, client activity, repeat business opportunities, and referral relationships.
  • Assist with pipeline reporting, lead tracking, and business development organization.
  • Help establish accountability and consistency in business development follow-up efforts.
  • Develop and coordinate post-project client follow-up processes.
  • Assist with client satisfaction surveys, interviews, and feedback collection upon project completion.
  • Coordinate collection of client testimonials, reviews, references, and success stories.
  • Help leadership identify opportunities to improve client experience and strengthen long-term relationships.
  • Maintain ongoing communication touchpoints with past clients to support repeat business and referrals.
  • Assist with developing client appreciation initiatives and relationship-maintenance strategies.
  • Help improve project marketing during and after construction.
  • Coordinate collection of project photography, drone footage, videos, testimonials, and project highlights.
  • Assist with social media, website content, newsletters, award submissions, press releases, and promotional materials.
  • Work alongside the company’s outside marketing consultant to increase consistency, visibility, and brand awareness.
  • Help create marketing campaigns and outreach initiatives focused on past clients, referral partners, and community relationships.
  • Assist with development of project case studies and client success stories showcasing the company’s capabilities and culture.
  • Help strengthen the company’s online presence and reputation management efforts.
  • Coordinate proposal packages, qualifications, presentations, and interview materials.
  • Maintain project profiles, team resumes, photography, and marketing assets.
  • Assist with RFP/RFQ responses and pursuit documentation.
  • Support leadership during project pursuit and preconstruction phases.
  • Help track active project pursuits and maintain pursuit calendars and deadlines.
  • Assist with coordination and participation in: Chamber events, Economic development organizations, Industry associations, Groundbreakings and ribbon cuttings, Community events and sponsorships, Client appreciation activities.
  • Help strengthen the company’s visibility and reputation within the market.
  • Represent the company professionally within community and industry settings.
  • Assist leadership with special projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Support communication between business development, preconstruction, operations, and marketing teams.
  • Help create consistency, organization, and accountability within business development activities.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency related to client development and marketing efforts.
