The Office of the Provost is seeking a Business Development Consultant to cultivate opportunities for new business and public dissemination of projects developed at the department/division level. This role involves promoting the capabilities and intellectual property of faculty and staff, sourcing, shaping, closing, and managing large deals with partners to advance Johns Hopkins University's aims. Johns Hopkins University is establishing a new educational access point, Hopkins Edge, for Non-Degree & Non-Credit (NDNC) education and microcredentials. This initiative unifies executive education, professional development, continuing education, and personal enrichment. Hopkins Edge addresses the demand for flexible, skills-focused learning for working professionals and lifelong learners, offering microcredentials that verify knowledge and skills. It aims to serve a broader population seeking targeted, practical learning experiences and professional advancement by lowering access barriers and costs while maintaining quality. Hopkins Edge provides an accessible, interdisciplinary experience for working professionals, organizations, and individuals looking to upskill, reskill, or advance their knowledge. As strategic partnerships with corporations, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations expand, this role will drive relationship building and revenue growth across the DMV area, nationally, and globally. The position serves as a critical 'front door' to Hopkins Edge for external partners, positioning JHU as a comprehensive workforce development solution provider by building strategic partnerships and aligning Hopkins Edge resources with industry demands.
