Business Development Associate
About The Position
Beyond Marketing (BMK) is a full-service marketing agency with 35 years of history in the greater Wheeling area. They work with clients across a wide range of industries including banking, healthcare, hospitality, tourism, entertainment, and more, delivering everything from brand strategy and advertising to digital marketing, media, and public relations. BMK is looking for a Business Development Associate to join their team. This is an entry-level role built for someone who is driven, people-oriented, and ready to learn. The associate will work closely with the Business Development Manager, who will train and partner with them. Over time, the associate will take on increasing ownership of BMK’s business development efforts, including building a sales pipeline, engaging prospects, supporting proposals, and helping grow the agency.
Requirements

- Organized and self-motivated, with the ability to manage own priorities.
- Communicate clearly, both in conversation and in writing.
- Comfortable with technology and can learn new tools and applications quickly.
- Local to the Wheeling area and want to build career here.

- Background in marketing, advertising, or graphic design – whether it's a degree or simply coursework.
Responsibilities
- Identify, research, and engage leads, prospects, and referral sources in our target markets
- Promote the BMK brand through networking events, community outreach, and public relations initiatives
- Use our CRM and sales tools to build, track, and manage a growing pipeline of opportunities
- Nurture relationships with existing clients to generate repeat business and referrals
- Contribute to the development and delivery of proposals
- Support the agency’s own marketing efforts
- Work toward established sales goals, with a focus on consistent progress and growth
- Follow best practices and bring fresh ideas to how we develop and refine our processes
