Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, the Manager, Business Development & Key Accounts, is responsible for overseeing business development (BD) activities for the Interior BC region. Role Overview The Business Development & Relationship Manager will be based out of the Kelowna office and work closely with the Regional Operations Manager, to understand the local client market, participate in existing and new client meetings, attend association events and exhibitions, and ensure business development efforts are aligned with operational capacity and regional priorities. The role also carries a functional reporting relationship to Regional Client Manager – BC, who will support training and onboarding, alignment with provincial business plans and sector strategies, goal‑setting and performance metrics, and ongoing coaching. As part of the BC Business Development / Client Manager team, the role will actively participate in regular team meetings, including weekly activity reporting, project opportunity updates, and market intelligence sharing. Your Impact Support the development and execution of regional business development plans and initiatives aligned with corporate and regional priorities. Coordinate and support day-to-day business development activities across the Interior BC region. Work with Client Managers and the Key Account Management team to maintain and grow key client relationships. Assist with identifying new business opportunities within Pinchin’s core and emerging service lines. Provide input into proposal strategies, helping improve proposal quality and win rates. Gather market intelligence, including client feedback and competitor activity, to inform regional business development efforts. Support service line leaders with client outreach and business development efforts for new or growing services. Participate in industry events, tradeshows, and networking activities to support brand awareness and relationship building. Maintain regular communication with regional leadership and the national business development team to share updates and align priorities. Promote collaboration, professionalism, and client-focused service in alignment with Pinchin’s values. What You’ll Bring to Pinchin The ideal candidate is client-focused, organized, and collaborative, with experience supporting business development or account management in a professional services environment. Post‑secondary education in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience Experience in business development, sales support, account management, or client services, preferably in consulting, technical, or professional services General understanding of professional consulting services and how business development supports regional growth Strong curiosity and ability to quickly learn Pinchin’s services and technical offerings Growth‑oriented mindset with interest in building or advancing a career in business development or sales Experience in customer‑facing roles involving sales, customer service, or outbound communication Comfortable with proactive business development activities, including networking, cold calling, email outreach, and social media engagement Ability to build and maintain client relationships through regular follow‑ups and check‑ins Strong communication skills across clients, internal teams, and leadership Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while collaborating with office‑based teams Willingness and ability to support territory coverage, with a primary focus on the Okanagan Valley (Kelowna, Vernon, Penticton) and secondary support for the Cariboo, Kootenay region.
