About The Position

Intellisense Systems, Inc. is a fast-growing Southern California technology innovator that solves tough, mission-critical challenges for customers in the aerospace and defense markets. They design, develop, and manufacture advanced products for ground, maritime, and airborne applications. The Business Development team is responsible for company growth by working with new and existing customers to earn new business as part of the company’s strategic plan, acting as an internal agency for the company’s business units. The Business Development Administrator will oversee a variety of Business Development tasks and operations, including planning, organizing, and overseeing trade show events, and will work closely with the entire BD team and business units.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications or related field.
  • 2-5 years' experience preferred; however, we are open to entry-level candidates with a strong foundational skillset and a desire to learn.
  • Analytical skills and logical thought processes to formulate solutions from problems.
  • Acute attention to detail to produce accurate, high -quality work.
  • Excellent people skills to interact with colleagues (e.g., product managers, salespeople, engineers), cross-functional teams, customers and third parties (e.g., partners and press).
  • High capacity to learn and adapt to new Business Development methods and ideas.
  • Time management skills to complete tasks in a timely manner, manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, ability to adapt to changing priorities and frequent interruptions.
  • High-level proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Nice To Haves

  • SharePoint is a plus.
  • Experience in B2B client-side Business Development is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, Salesforce.com certification is a plus.
  • Google Ads experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing all Tradeshows, booking and logistics, managing the tradeshow calendar, tradeshow planning process, set up and tear down of booth and its equipment.
  • Develop an understanding of how to anticipate what graphics and/or materials are needed for future shows.
  • Capture results from trade show events, to help identify trends and insights, and drive opportunities for future customer engagement.
  • Develop an understanding of how to measure tradeshow effectiveness.
  • Learn how to utilize our current CRM and other tools to help our sales and service teams.
  • Work with our consultant to address system issues.
  • Responsible for understanding our editorial and media strategy.
  • Help prepare press releases for website and newswires, coordinate interview requests, and follow up with editors.
  • Help the company advertise in trade publications per approved budget.
  • Responsible for ensuring the company stays on track for release of company marketing material, including brochures, data sheets, and similar collateral.
  • Responsible for maintaining a list of all BD capital equipment and demos for use in tradeshows, customer demos, and other internal/customer interactions.
  • Identifying equipment that requires repair, or upgrade is part of this task.
  • Manage, coordinate, process payments for outside marketing vendors and advertising.
  • Other responsibilities and duties may be assigned by your supervisor or upper management at any time.
