Join our Business Banking team in the new role of Business Credit Analyst. We have multiple openings, full-time or part-time, supporting our branches in Kitchener-Waterloo, Milverton and Mount Forest. Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Business Credit Analyst supports business members by providing high-quality credit analysis, underwriting, and documentation for commercial and agricultural lending. As an integral part of the business banking team, this role focuses on evaluating risk, structuring credit, and preparing clear and comprehensive credit applications that align with Kindred’s policies and values. Operating as a shared, mobile resource across multiple locations, the Business Credit Analyst enhances consistency, efficiency, and turnaround times in credit delivery, while enabling Account Managers to focus on building and maintaining strong member relationships.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle
  • Post secondary education in accounting, business or related field
  • 2-3 years experience in financial services, accounting, or related field
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong technical skills
  • Accounting expertise, ability to read financial statements

Responsibilities

  • Conduct financial analysis and assess borrower risk to support sound commercial lending decisions and appropriate credit structures.
  • Prepare clear and thorough credit applications, annual reviews, and recommendations that align with Kindred's credit policies and underwriting standards.
  • Complete annual and interim reviews, updating risk assessments, and identifying emerging risks to support portfolio management.
  • Support the execution of commercial lending transactions by coordinating documentation, fulfilling conditions, and ensuring complete, accurate credit files.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers and internal partners to deliver timely credit solutions, improve workflow efficiency, and provide an exceptional member experience.
