About The Position

The Sales and Purchasing Coordinator serves as support to Account Management, Business Development, and Purchasing department(s). You must be a self-motivator who works with minimal direction, has excellent follow up skills, makes decisions independently, and is able to motivate others to complete the task at hand. This is expected to be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. The ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions as well as interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables is expected. You must demonstrate an ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. The ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations is needed. Piston Automotive wasn’t just founded to make things. Requirements

  • An Associate degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Four years of experience a Purchasing and Sales Coordinator or a related role.
  • Four years of experience successfully handling extensive data entry with a high level of organization and accuracy
  • Four years of experience writing business correspondence (a demonstrated ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.)
  • Four plus (4+) years of communicating with all levels of an organization. (must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and public.)
  • Four plus (4+) years with MS Office Products ((intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point)
  • Familiarity with customer systems/web sites (i.e. GM Supply Power, Covisint) and Trans4M desired but not required

Responsibilities

  • Complete all program account management BOM updates.
  • Maintain central files for sales records, pricing documentation, product history, and various customer procedure manuals. Also support documentation on NAFTA surveys, tool disposals, etc.
  • Manage purchase order price updates in ERP/MRP system.
  • Support tooling purchase order process and manage tool order tracking/follow-up.
  • Ensure required approval(s) achieved on all requisitions.
  • Issue production and non-production POs to vendors.
  • Track, receive, and reconcile POs in ERP/MRP system and in applicable spreadsheets.
  • Follow-up with vendors as necessary.
  • File vendor purchase orders.
  • Assist in completing cost models for Customer RFQ’s.
  • Assist in Customer presentations and other marketing material development
  • Support offsite marketing events and trade shows as required
