About The Position

EY has a robust life sciences commercial practice, helping clients with strategic growth, business transformation, and commercial excellence. This senior role within our Consulting practice will have the opportunity to lead large engagements, build solutions, lead teams, and innovate in the market. Our practice works with large pharma, biotechnology, medical device manufacturers, and medical technology industries. You will be an integral member of our life sciences consulting team, and spend most of your time focused on providing client services in the following areas: business transformation, commercial operations, commercial data and analytics, commercial strategy, market access, growth strategy, operating model optimization, technology implementation and enterprise transformation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, Biology, Pharmacology
  • 6+ years biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience and experience providing advisory services in these industries, focused in at least one of the following areas: Commercial analytics, Brand strategy, Pricing and market access, Commercial operations model transformation, Digital campaign management strategy
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical datasets (e.g. pricing databases, prescription and claims databases, etc.)
  • Experience with commercial operations and analytics
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • The executive presence to interact with the C-Suite
  • A willingness to travel to meet client needs
  • Significant advisory/consulting experience is within life sciences is required

Nice To Haves

  • Life science or biomedical background and experience in data analytics and commercial operations
  • PhD in life sciences or bio-focused engineering discipline
  • Strong experience with operational model strategy and build out in the Life Sciences
  • Prior experience leading teams and developing client relationships in the Life Sciences space with a specific focus on commercial and market access
  • Experience with market access, commercial analytics, and overall commercial strategy is a must have

Responsibilities

  • Support client engagement teams and work with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services in the life sciences domain.
  • Effectively manage and motivate client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds.
  • Lead large-scale client engagements and consistently deliver quality client services.
  • Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
  • Manage expectations of client service delivery and stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business.
  • Foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment by playing an active role in counselling and mentoring junior consultants within the organization.
  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks.
  • Develop relationships with team members across all EY practices to serve client needs.
  • Remain current on new developments in the life sciences advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge.
