The IT Project Management Office (PMO) at HOOPP (Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan) is looking for a highly motivated Business Consultant to join our team! The Business Consultant will support IT PMO across three key areas: coordinating the onboarding for new investment strategies, business analysis, project intake assessments and project management support for the delivery of key investment initiatives. Partnering with business and IT stakeholders, you will ensure work entering the portfolio is well‑defined, appropriately assessed and estimated, and decision‑ready before execution. In this role, you will focus on business analysis (approx. 60%), with additional responsibilities in Project Management and governance support (approx. 40%). As a Business Consultant, you will be apart of many initiatives on the plan and investment side, and partner with front, middle and back-office stakeholders to deliver investment-focused initiatives that improve HOOPP’s performance and deliver on our strategic plan’s objectives. You’ll translate objectives into clear requirements, coordinate delivery with IT teams (architecture, governance risk and compliance, vendor management and information security) and business teams (investment management, finance, risk, and plan operations) to ensure work is assessed and delivered in accordance with IT processes. You’ll also support end-to-end project management through planning, status reporting and risk/issue management. This exposure to various aspects of the business will allow you to learn the ins-and-outs of how HOOPP operates. This role requires hands‑on experience supporting capital markets and investment management initiatives across the front‑to‑back-office lifecycle
