As a Business Configuration Analyst, you will work with key business areas such as Sales, Implementation, and IT in the design of new benefit packages for configuration into the claims processing system, as well as the revision of existing benefit packages.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in business, computer science or related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in group benefits would be considered a strong asset.
  • Experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst, Data management, Query writing and optimization.
  • Experience with Discoverer, SQL, data analysis, PowerBI.
  • Problem-solving skills; understanding client needs and learning quickly to get the best results.
  • Detailed oriented with the big picture in mind.
  • Good communication skills – clear, concise, and friendly, with the ability to communicate to different audiences such as clients, members, and internal stakeholders.
  • Customer oriented, innovative.
  • Positive attitude; willingness to help.
  • Accountable for work and client experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Positive, collaborative, and open to new ways of doing things.
  • Enjoy learning and sharing knowledge.
  • English, written and spoken.
  • French would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse benefit package requirements
  • Provide feedback to stakeholders regarding feasibility and requirements for benefit configuration
  • Enter benefit data on claims processing systems according to approved benefit structure
  • Set up new policies and revise existing policies, on applicable administrative systems
  • Perform all activities related to the onboarding of new groups, within established accuracy and efficiency performance targets; while working with multiple teams
  • Analyze & respond to general and complex inquiries from members, internal/external stakeholders including brokers in a timely manner
  • Maintain and update workflow/tools with appropriate documentation.
  • Adhere to and interpret business processes in a timely manner
  • Act as key contact for the to support daily decisions and to provide recommendations for operational efficiencies.
  • Troubleshoot all inquiries relating to Administration service issues
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service
