About The Position

The Aerospace Business Compliance Leader provides domain expertise in the areas of risk management, local regulatory compliance, and demonstrating accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. This position will report to the CES and International CCO. In this role you will lead the compliance program for the assigned client groups, manage complex issues within area of expertise, partner with horizontal risk foals, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Operational/Compliance or Associates degree with minimum of 12 years of professional experience in Operational/Compliance or High School Diploma with minimum of 14 years of professional experience in Operational/Compliance
  • Minimum 8 years of operational and/or compliance experience.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and execute the compliance program for the assigned organizations and client groups, by setting strategy and immediate priorities.
  • Partners with the organization’s business leaders to sustain and grow a culture of integrity within respective division sites and groups.
  • Leads an operating rhythm to engage business leaders and functional stakeholders, such as Business Compliance Review Boards.
  • Leads the compliance network for assigned groups consisting of site compliance representatives & ombuds to promote open reporting and a superior integrity culture.
  • Connects with the organizations’ JVs, understands their compliance risk and drive mitigating actions as appropriate.
  • Provides guidance and coaching to the team in terms of compliance expertise and leadership development.
  • Partners with regional and other business compliance leaders to design and implement compliance programs involving ~15 policy and risk areas, to ensure the early warning of new local regulations and practices impacting Aerospace program and the timely localization of the relevant policies and procedures for full compliance.
  • Partners with GE Aerospace Risk Focal to review requests and transactions associated with high-risk policy areas or any major areas of concern.
  • Leads their assigned groups program to ensure effective training & communications
  • Leads the compliance risk assessments and abatement actions across assigned groups’ sites and businesses.
  • Identifies, proposes and executes improvements to GE Aerospace's existing compliance program, policies and processes to drive better efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Guides selection of site or organization compliance representatives and creates opportunity for talent development in an area of domain expertise aligned to organizational vision; while, building a more diverse compliance network.
  • Lead and support integrity and compliance investigation during surges.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to support complex or high-risk investigations.
  • Provide M&A compliance support as delegated, including due diligence, risk assessment, and post-close integration activities.
