About The Position

Corteva Agriscience is planning to separate into two independent companies, with this position likely aligning with the new Seed Company, Vylor, post-separation. Vylor will focus on agricultural innovation, leveraging scientific expertise in areas like gene editing and molecular breeding. As a member of the global enterprise communications team, the Business Communications Consultant will serve as a liaison with seed portfolio and seed operations leaders, developing and executing communications materials and projects. This role will also support the North America business communications lead in creating executive presentations, managing communications projects, and leading business editorial efforts. The individual contributor will operate in a fast-paced environment, aiming to enhance how commercial teams communicate with various audiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a similar field.
  • 6+ years of communications experience (employee communications, media and digital communications) or aptitude to learn and apply this knowledge.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Proven track record of working with leaders in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
  • Strong, diverse communications experience including knowledge of leadership and customer communications, deploying multi-channel/digital communications campaigns, and working knowledge of media relations.
  • Ability to understand high-level functional operations and their contribution to agriculture.
  • Strong organizational skills, including project management and prioritization ability.
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn and improve.
  • Excellent judgment and professional demeanor; ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced/changing environment, especially during an issue/crisis response.
  • Motivated individual able to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software, including Word and PowerPoint.
  • Self-starter with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to be proactive and work in ambiguous situations.
  • Ability to learn and understand business goals and principles.
  • Ability to manage a variety of stakeholders and distill multiple sources of information.

Responsibilities

  • Support Vylor’s North America business communications lead in developing presentations and communications materials for commercial business updates, announcements, and key milestones.
  • Provide counsel and creative execution on stakeholder communications for seed portfolio and seed operations leaders.
  • Lead editorial planning and development of articles about commercial employees and the business for Vylor’s intranet and newsletter.
  • Help implement global enterprise communications strategy by supporting programs and campaigns.
  • Ensure appropriate reviews, edits, and timely delivery of communications.
  • Collaborate with the North America Business Communications Lead to support the execution of an integrated communications strategy.
  • Integrate technologies, data, and best practices to ensure messaging effectiveness across audiences.
  • Undertake additional communication activities as assigned.
