About The Position

Nexstar Network is a member-owned organization dedicated to providing leadership, coaching, and training to residential service companies. They are seeking a Business Coach to help members implement proprietary best practices programs. The role involves working with owners and operators to drive strategic growth and operational excellence, partnering with specialty coaches to align efforts across the business. The company emphasizes a collaborative work environment with both in-person and remote flexibility, valuing employee input and support.

Requirements

• 5-7 years’ experience in business or operations management, preferably in a field service environment with 50 or more employees and proven to be successful in leadership.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong financial management background.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of residential service and repair industry (i.e., Plumbing, HVAC or Electrical) is strongly preferred.
• Candidates that have owned or run (General Manager) a company generating $10m in sales or more with a minimum of 10% net profit, are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Work with Nexstar members through all phases of implementation of our proprietary best practices programs.
• Conduct coaching over the telephone, virtually, and at the member’s business.
• Perform orientation, training, mentoring, supporting, monitoring, financial analysis, and measuring the progress of members.
• Utilize Nexstar’s systems and other information to guide members.
• Engage with members through one-to-one consulting to win and retain members.
• Act as a liaison between Nexstar and its members.
• Recognize, analyze, assess, diagnose, and prescribe business solutions for needs and management skills of members.
• Develop standards and systems to answer recurring questions and problem areas.
• Document performance standards.
• Facilitate Peer Group Meetings.
• Facilitate Business Planning Workshops and post-workshop financial review/KPI meetings.
• Participate in other Nexstar meetings and events.
• Participate in proactive calls, orientation calls and other projects.
• Stay abreast of industry market trends, opportunities, competitive threats, and regulatory environments.
