About The Position

The Business Change Manager reports directly to the Wellpoint President and serves as a key member of the Health Plan Leadership Team. The role acts as a strategic advisor and operational partner to the President, providing executive-level support in the planning, coordination, and execution of critical business priorities. Working at the direction of the President and Chief of Staff, this individual leads and oversees complex, cross-functional initiatives, enterprise programs, and strategic projects that advance organizational goals and drive market performance.

Requirements

  • Requires a BA/BS in a related field and minimum of 5 years process or project related experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in successfully developing and managing projects with fairly significant operating budget and knowledge of process redesign is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in Medicaid Managed care is strongly preferred
  • Experience developing executive level presentations with PowerPoint. preferred

Responsibilities

  • Identifies potential issues, project charge, and scope.
  • Leads efforts to identify best practices.
  • Identifies impacted parties, business partners, and resources required.
  • Develops and designs processes and systems that support business needs.
  • Designs methods for integrating function and process.
  • Conducts cost/benefit analyses.
  • Builds support for business change throughout the business unit.
  • Develops executive level presentations.
