About The Position

The Business Career Program Adjunct Instructor for the Business Finance Concentration plans and delivers in-class instruction using the approved curriculum. Courses include Risk Management, Investment Concepts, Legal and Ethical Considerations for Business, Business Financial Concepts, International Finance, Business Information Systems, Financial Statement Analysis, and Costs and Budgeting. The instructor teaches up to 27.5 hours per week and supports student learning, progress, growth, and retention through instruction, assessment, academic advising, and enrichment activities. The position reports to the Academic Dean/Program Manager.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, accounting, economics, or a similar field of study.
If the degree is not in finance, accounting, economics, or a directly related field, at least two years of related work experience or evidence of specialized training related to the field and industry may be considered.

Responsibilities

Teach courses in the Business Finance Concentration, up to 27.5 hours per week.
Prepare lesson plans for each class session.
Deliver lectures and facilitate Project-Based Learning on business-related topics.
Assist students in the learning process.
Evaluate and monitor student progress using various assessment tools.
Maintain necessary records to report Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) to the Academic Dean/Program Manager.
Attend and participate in quarterly campus-wide instructor in-service meetings.
Stay informed about advancements in teaching by attending professional development activities outside of CSI.
Organize and lead field outings for student enrichment once per module.
Contribute to program improvement through committee involvement.
Provide academic advising to support student growth and retention.
Perform additional tasks as needed.
