About The Position

Review and decision small business relationships, in a centralized environment, for business purpose credits up to $2 million. If one of the warning signs signals a credit review, the PM will request all applicable information and determine the proper risk rating and required credit action relative to the risk profile. As needed, the PM will complete underwriting memos for business purpose requests. Provide continued support to Banking Center personnel relating to the communication of loan decisions and financial analysis. Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of credit analysis and/or loan review experience, preferably in the banking industry.
  • Must be proficient in basic software applications such as Microsoft Access, Word and Excel.
  • Must be attentive to detail and possess excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree in accounting, finance or economics is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Bank's internal applications is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for analysis of financial statements based on information provided in the loan package.
  • Coordinates requests with relationship manager on all information necessary to either decision a credit request or complete a proper risk rating.
  • Provide loan decisions and/or credit recommendations based on a review of all underwriting criteria, including loan structure, collateral, interest rate, and fees.
  • Negotiate terms & conditions of loan with relationship team.
  • Provide the necessary coaching of Banking Center staff and commercial relationship managers, to enhance the understanding of the small business customer.
  • Identify and communicate cross-sell opportunities discovered during the underwriting process.
  • Effectively communicate loan decision to loan originator.
  • Identify and review all necessary due diligence items.
  • Ensures proper risk rating is complete relative to the relationship (per policy) and complete periodic reviews and ALSR reports.
  • Completes all documentation required for SAG transfers if necessary.
  • Assist Documentation Specialist, as needed.
  • Miscellaneous job duties as assigned.
