About The Position

The Business Banking Underwriter II underwrites Business Banking loans to determine borrowers’ creditworthiness and compliance with Bank lending policy. The role supports Business Banking production by maintaining an individual pipeline and reviewing financial and credit application information to make sound credit decisions. Assignments typically involve moderately complex credits with customer exposure up to $2,500M. The position has single approval authority up to $2MM and assesses borrowers’ risk profiles. Additional tasks may be assigned to support the line of business and job family.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree.
At least 3 years of experience in business or commercial underwriting in a centralized lending environment.

Ability to underwrite credit exposures in excess of $1MM.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other internet resources.
Excellence in customer service; highly motivated, focused, and goal-oriented.

Ability to work independently on multiple tasks without compromising quality.
