The Business Banking Relationship Manager cultivates, builds, and manages relationships with a portfolio of small business clients to build a pipeline of new business and increase BMO’s market share. This role involves applying professional consultative sales and business development practices, actively identifying opportunities, and referring clients to BMO colleagues. The manager is responsible for proactively developing and executing sales strategies to attract new business clients and expand existing relationships, as well as developing internal and external networks and referral sources. Key activities include generating appointments, developing and executing business plans for customer retention, identifying prospective customers, cross-selling products, and delivering exceptional customer service. The position requires understanding local markets, building client rapport, and providing financial solutions that meet customer goals. The role also involves resolving or escalating issues, developing solutions based on business strategy, providing advice on implementation, analyzing data for insights, monitoring performance, and coordinating database management. Additionally, the manager will build and participate in change management activities, provide input into operational programs, and ensure timely, accurate, and efficient service delivery. The role requires adherence to security and safeguarding procedures, maintaining confidentiality, identifying risks, and applying BMO's Risk Management Framework.
