The Business Banking Relationship Manager represents the bank in conducting active prospect and customer business development activities. This role is responsible for generating new loan, deposit, and related business for the line of business, while meeting the Bank's existing and prospective business customer's needs. The manager will oversee the maintenance of client accounts, ensure client needs are met, and establish strong referral networks. They will also develop professional relationships with other Bank associates and supplemental business lines to cross-sell and generate appropriate product and service recommendations. Collaboration with other lines of business is key to ensuring client needs are met. The role involves providing quality customer service through problem resolution and consistent client communication, including onsite visits and outbound calls. A thorough understanding of the policies and Bank guidelines for their business line is essential. The position also involves referring lending opportunities, treasury management, insurance, residential mortgage, and deposit relationships to bank partners. Participation in civic and community activities is expected to promote the Bank's products and services, maintain professional networks, and strengthen community ties. Additionally, the role includes interviewing loan applicants, analyzing financial data to establish credit worthiness, negotiating credit terms, monitoring customer credit, and taking collection actions on past due accounts. The manager will educate borrowers on business line processes and structure, analyze and originate loan requests, and submit documentation packages for credit analysis and underwriting, recommending approval of commercial loan applications.
