This role works directly with the Retail Branch Network to develop, facilitate, and manage the lending needs of small business clients. The position involves researching client businesses, providing information on Business Banking services, and ensuring loan quality meets Bank standards. The Relationship Manager will directly or indirectly manage a portfolio of Business Banking loans and collaborate with Branch Managers on training to grow Business Banking. Proactive engagement with potential clients through networking, community involvement, and referrals is key, as is building and maintaining strong, trusting, long-term relationships with existing clients. Collaboration with sales and leadership is essential for securing and retaining clients, as well as contributing to sales goals, planning, and forecasting. The role demands exceptional customer service, acting as a trusted advisor, and understanding client needs to offer solutions through a consultative process. This includes making outbound calls, closing sales, and guiding clients through the closing process. Adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and guidelines is mandatory. Other duties as assigned.
