The Business Banking Center Manager is responsible for the efficient organization and management of the Business Banking Center’s workflow, credit approvals, problem resolution, and personnel management. This role ensures effective utilization of systems like the origination system (B2B) and the portfolio management system (Risk Advisor), and ensures all work is processed in compliance with applicable regulations and policies. The manager develops and produces reports to monitor compliance and service level agreements, and takes action to ensure compliance. They advise, counsel, coach, and instruct the Business Banking Center (BBC) staff, and perform human resources functions such as hiring, monitoring staff productivity and performance, and conducting performance reviews. The manager interacts with Business Banking and branch relationship managers on loan underwriting issues, and decides on appeals of credit decisions and requests for policy exceptions. The team's ability to deliver high customer service with a short turnaround directly affects the Bank’s customer service and market competitiveness. Ensuring asset quality through prudent credit decisions and correct loan structuring minimizes delinquency and loan losses, positively impacting profitability. The manager interacts with the Department Manager and Credit Manager regarding credit policy, operations, reporting, and other departmental issues. They also contribute to the development of new Business Banking strategies and products.
