About The Position

As a Business Banker at First Citizens, you develop and expand relationships with business owners in the community to help them meet their financial goals. You develop and maintain an active prospect list, a customer outreach plan, and quality referral sources for companies averaging between $1 million and $10 million in annual revenue. You serve as the primary contact for borrowing needs and provide subject matter expertise on deposits and cash flow management. You work with internal partners to build and manage full banking relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience, or a high school diploma or GED/equivalent and 6 years of experience in commercial or business lending, credit, or business development.
• Business development experience.
• Application of a structured sales process.
• Financial guidance and expertise.
• Sales planning and forecasting.
• Financial analysis.
• Credit underwriting.
• Knowledge of business lending, deposit, and cash management solutions.
• Knowledge of retail and wealth solutions for referral.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to bank growth through business loans, deposits, and fee income.
• Engage local business owners and companies through your network to develop business lending opportunities.
• Represent the bank in the community by attending and participating in civic, community, and networking events.
• Support an efficient loan approval process through open communication and engagement with credit partners.
• Collaborate with bank partners to support and deepen full client relationships.
