The Business Banker III represents the bank in conducting active prospect and customer business development activities. This role is responsible for generating new loan, deposit, and related business for the line of business, while meeting the needs of existing and prospective business customers. The position involves managing client relationships through service and support, overseeing account maintenance, and ensuring client needs are met. It also requires establishing a strong referral network and collaborating with other Bank departments and lines of business to cross-sell products and services, ultimately helping clients achieve their goals and expanding client relationships. The Business Banker III provides quality customer service, resolves problems, and maintains consistent communication with clients through onsite visits and outbound calls. A thorough understanding of bank policies and guidelines is essential. The role also involves referring lending opportunities, treasury management, insurance, residential mortgage, and deposit relationships to bank partners. Participation in civic and community activities is encouraged to promote the Bank's offerings and strengthen community ties. Key responsibilities include interviewing loan applicants, analyzing financial data to assess creditworthiness, negotiating credit terms, monitoring customer credit, and managing outstanding loans, including collection actions on past dues. The Business Banker III educates borrowers on processes and structures, analyzes and originates loan requests, and submits documentation for credit approval, assisting in the credit analysis and underwriting process as needed. Recommendations for commercial loan approvals are also a part of this role.
