The Business Analyst will play a key role in building and scaling the Mid‑Market business, directly supporting the Head of Business Expansion, Mid‑Market in a fast‑paced, high‑visibility role. This position sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, supporting growth initiatives through rigorous analysis, business case development, project management, and operational enablement. The successful candidate will help translate strategy into action, supporting leadership and the underwriting field organization as the Mid‑Market platform continues to grow and evolve.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus
  • Experience in a business management or analytical role within the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Robust analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, modeling, and business case development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable to engage across all business functions and at all levels in the business
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to easily flex with changing workloads and prioritization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with data visualization tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Business Case Development: Support the preparation of comprehensive business cases with inputs from various stakeholders to support strategic initiatives and decision-making processes.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze a variety of financial and non-financial data sets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and business drivers. Prepare and present operational reports, dashboards, and presentations for executive leadership, summarizing key insights and recommendations
  • Project Management: Support multiple concurrent initiatives including analysis, project support, and meeting organization. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and mid-market leadership to align project objectives and drive progress.
  • Communication: Support the development and distribution of communications for the underwriting unit, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with company objectives.
