About The Position

The Business Assistant I (BA I) is responsible for independently managing the front office operations of a Premier Periodontics practice, under the guidance of the Operations Leader. The role is crucial in contributing to the financial success of the practice by prioritizing patient experience upon arrival and securing financial commitment for treatment. The BA I ensures patients receive the best possible care and have an extraordinary experience, embodying the company's mission, vision, and values.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of business / office experience

Responsibilities

  • Gain financial commitment from patients.
  • Manage all front desk functions including scheduling, answering phones, checking patients in and out, running reports, filing insurance claims, and providing patient customer service.
  • Work with insurance companies to maximize patient benefits and ensure proper payment for services rendered.
  • Assist patients in making informed decisions for their health and well-being.
  • Make a positive first impression on patients, whether in person or over the phone.
  • Champion the Premier Periodontics Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Ensure all patients have an extraordinary experience.
  • Hold self and staff accountable for successful completion of projects, job duties, and company deliverables.
  • Complete Continuing Education as required for self and staff.
  • Follow required HIPAA and OSHA safety procedures.
  • Exhibit outstanding customer service with patients as the priority, partnering with staff to resolve complaints, concerns, and questions.
  • Build and nurture positive working relationships with the Operations Leader, doctors, hygiene, and dental assistants.
  • Strictly follow HIPAA and company standards to protect Patient Health Information (PHI) and patient personal and financial information.
  • Properly process insurance claims to ensure patient benefits are maximized.
  • Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.
