About The Position

The Business Architecture Consultant translates the business strategy into solutions and integrates the needs of the business lines. They ensure the synergy and consistency of the solutions with those of the other dimensions of the enterprise architecture. The consultant works with the team on the target solution based on the business sector's vision, proposing solutions that respect the business sector's priorities.

Requirements

  • Possess exceptional communication skills and be able to simplify complex concepts
  • Strong strategic vision and solid experience in executive consulting
  • Be able to influence the team regarding industry best practices, as well as other people with whom they interact
  • Be customer-focused
  • Be results-oriented
  • Possess at least 10 years of experience in business architecture, including 5 years in property and casualty insurance
  • Have hands-on experience with business architecture or business analysis techniques
  • Have led architecture projects independently/in a leadership role
  • Have led and facilitated workshops with executives
  • Expertise in communication and writing for an executive level and in an influential role
  • Experience as a business architect on large projects involving the integration of multiple systems
  • Ability to write business needs and business requirements
  • Ability to write business architecture documents
  • Ability to support business analysts: coaching them in writing business requirements, validating their analysis documents, Providing them with guidance
  • Ability to prepare positioning reports and present them to the project committee.
  • Senior business analyst experience could be considered equivalent experience
  • Bilingual

Responsibilities

  • Design and document the business architecture for initiatives under their responsibility, keeping a focus on needs
  • Recommend an optimal breakdown and sequencing for the delivery of these initiatives
  • Ensure the alignment of initiatives with the Movement's architecture targets
  • Contribute to the development of cost-benefit and risk analyses for proposed business opportunities and initiatives
  • Coordinate the actions of key stakeholders involved in the execution of business architecture mandates
  • Advise, support, and influence the organization with a view to improvement and innovation
  • Facilitate workshops and provide leadership for assigned projects
  • Ensure adherence to the scope of work entrusted to them
  • Ensure alignment with the architecture team in terms of solutions, directions, decisions, and issues
