Business Architecture is a critical bridge between business leaders, technology leaders, and Technology Architects to ensure that strategy, capabilities and execution are in alignment. CIBC is developing a Business Architecture practice as part of the US Technology team. Reporting to the US Head of Business Architecture, the Business Architect has direct responsibility for working closely with business leaders to identify strategic business capabilities needed to enable their business goals and leverage business architecture artifacts to create future state business architecture and roadmaps while partnering with technology architects and leaders to align technical solutions to business imperatives. You identify and lead efforts to advance and maintain vision and direction for the business architecture practice. The Business Architect defines, designs, and matures business capability architecture for the enterprise, inclusive of artifacts such as a capability maps, value streams, process architecture and roadmaps. In this role you also oversee the creation and governance of business architecture artifacts, as well as common standards and methods for developing and incorporating business architecture in the enterprise. You demonstrate impacts and opportunities for business leaders to facilitate critical business decisions, while capturing key views of the business unit in the context of the overall enterprise and provide direct input into the planning, execution, and achievement of enterprise and business unit strategic goals.
