As a Business Architect within PNC's Data And Automation organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Dallas, TX or Strongsville, OH or Birmingham, AL. Candidates will require strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze, model and interpret data. This individual will need experience in analytics, programming languages (SQL) and Hadoop. They should be adept in presenting complex concepts and communicating technical content to general audiences, designing and documenting technical requirements as well as possess the ability to effectively manage and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment. Designs data architecture through conducting needs analysis, routine problems resolution and outcomes estimation, in accordance with standards and processes. Analyzes business requirements, current technical gaps and possible applications needed to support business strategies and expectations. Plays a key role in data provisioning to risk assessments, quality assurance processes and routine issue resolution in business architecture. Facilitates stakeholder communication, collaborates with different teams and serve as liaison between business and technical teams ensuring alignment on goals and solution.

Requirements

Ability to create and troubleshoot SQL
Working knowledge of Hadoop, Hive and Impala
Documentation of data requirements
Perform data analysis for downstream demand
Self-motivated individual able to work with little supervision
University / college degree, with 5+ years of industry-relevant experience. Specific certifications are often required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Responsibilities

Designs business architecture through conducting needs analysis, routine problems resolution and outcomes estimation, in accordance with standards and processes.
Delivers technical roadmaps on business processes, application blueprints, data models and system over layers to support business objectives, standards and processes.
Analyzes business requirements, current technical gaps and possible applications needed to support business strategies and expectations.
Plays a key role in conducting risk assessments, quality assurance processes and routine issue resolution in business architecture.
Estimates on the effectiveness of business architecture outcomes; communicates about client feedback to technology teams in order to improve deliverables and meet business requirements.
