About The Position

The Business Applications Analyst is responsible for The Business Applications Analyst will serve as a key techno-functional lead for the Hollow Metal Door Strategic Business Unit (SBU) at Allegion. This role is responsible for the overall health, optimization, and integration of core business applications across multiple manufacturing plants and distribution centers. Experience and familiarity with manufacturing ERP systems and order to cash processes is required. The Business Application Analyst’s main role is to define, analyze, develop, test and maintain ERP, custom and third-party software applications. This will also include research and requirements gathering, design, documentation, and modifying software specifications throughout the order life cycle. The ideal candidate is a "hands-on" problem solver who can bridge the gap between shop-floor operations and back-office technology. You will be responsible for maintaining ERP systems, driving data analytics, managing system integrations, and leveraging emerging AI tools to drive operational efficiencies. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Information Technology or related field.
  • 5+ years of proven experience working within large manufacturing or distribution operations.
  • 5+ years of experience working with, supporting, and/or implementing an Enterprise level ERP.
  • In-depth knowledge of business functions, with heavy emphasis in Manufacturing, Warehouse Management and Supply Chain-related business, processes and practices
  • Experience with at least 3 of the 5 core ERP module areas including: Order Management and Product Configurators, Master Planning, Production Control, Transportation Management, Warehouse / Inventory Management, Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable.
  • Demonstrated experience with supporting major and minor ERP upgrades and/or implementations.
  • Experience developing comprehensive business requirements, functional design documents, completing impact assessments, and contributing to business cases that identify value of the change.
  • Ability to work independently as well as to collaborate effectively with others in person and remotely.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • Proven ability to lead and communicate orally, in written documents, and in formal presentations is required.

  • Solid understanding of data integrity and audit / SOX compliance procedures.
  • Experience working with and building and training AI agents to improve business processes and productivity.
  • Basic familiarity with relational databases (MS-SQL, DB2/400) and onprem and cloud concepts.
  • Understanding of integrations (API’s, middleware platforms) used to connect different business systems.
  • Experience and understanding of Cyber Security best practices in the Manufacturing Operations space.
  • Comfortable using SQL, PowerBI and other tools to work with data for ad hoc analysis.
  • Comfortable working with Project Management tools and Azure DevOps for planning and documentation.
  • Ability to lead and manage small projects at the sites.
  • Travel required up to 20%

Nice To Haves

  • Applicable Techno-functional knowledge with Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations is a big plus.
  • Experience working with DriveWorks and Merlin MES software is a plus.
  • Experience in the Hollow Metal Door or Steel Fabrication industry, including knowledge of products and custom configurations is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Interacting and partnering with key business partners to drive business initiatives and further optimize system usage and best practices within existing system functionality.
  • Providing tier-2 & 3 techno-functional support for key ERP systems and related manufacturing applications across the Strategic Business Unit.
  • Defining practical business system solutions driving standardization within the business work streams.
  • Ensuring the "digital thread" from order entry to shop-floor completion is seamless.
  • Developing and maintaining advanced reports and dashboards using Power BI, SQL, or SSRS.
  • Translate complex manufacturing data into actionable insights for Plant Managers and SBU leadership.
  • Identifying and implementing AI-driven use cases, such as predictive maintenance alerts, automated data validation, or intelligent demand forecasting, to improve SBU productivity.
  • Assisting in scoping and executing large technology projects, including facility expansions, system upgrades, and M&A integrations.
  • Owning functional tactical planning for upgrades and releases with the software vendors.
  • Leading Unit Testing (UT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system changes.
  • Creating and maintaining high-quality functional design documents (FDDs) and technical specifications.
  • Playing an active role to support continuous improvements events providing a combined view of business and system processes.
  • Providing application training and assisting with general troubleshooting support.
  • Maintaining documentation of recommended business system configurations, process flows, and work instructions for key business processes.
  • Partnering with matrixed IT and business teams on changes and general support and roll outs.
