About The Position

The Information & Technology Services department is looking for a Business Applications Analyst or Senior Business Applications Analyst with a problem-solving mindset and a curiosity for figuring out how technology can work better for the people who rely on it. Working across enterprise applications that support functions throughout the Airport Authority—including construction and capital projects, finance, project controls, and other business operations—this role will configure systems, improve workflows, troubleshoot complex issues, develop integrations and automation, and translate business needs into practical technology solutions. Experience with SAN's specific application suite isn't required; experience solving similar business systems challenges and the ability to learn a new technology environment are what matter. Depending on experience, the selected candidate may join SAN at the Business Applications Analyst or Senior Business Applications Analyst level, with the Senior level taking greater ownership of complex solutions, technical strategy, and cross-functional initiatives. The ideal candidate is someone who likes a good systems puzzle: resourceful, collaborative, and energized by problems that don't come with an instruction manual. SAN operates within a complex, established enterprise technology environment, where the answer isn't always a new application or an out-of-the-box solution. Sometimes it means getting under the hood of an existing system, understanding how information moves between platforms, and finding a creative way forward. This is an opportunity to work alongside like-minded problem solvers who aren't afraid to pull out a piece of paper, map out a challenge together, question what isn't working, and keep at it until they find a solution.

Requirements

• Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in computer science, management information systems, or a closely related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
• Three years of progressively responsible experience developing requirements and design specifications for business systems applications, including supporting the testing and development of reports using Crystal Reports, Power BI, or similar tools. (For Business Applications Analyst level)
• Five years of business systems application configuration, development, and specifications design experience, including end-to-end business process testing for PMWeb or similar ERP applications and developing and testing reports using Power BI, Crystal Reports, or similar tools. (For Senior Business Applications Analyst level)

• Project Management — Organizes work, coordinates resources and stakeholders, and keeps technology projects moving toward successful completion.
• Valid California driver’s license is required, along with strict adherence to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Applicants must maintain an acceptable driving record to operate Authority vehicles.
• Compliance with Airport Authority vehicle use policies, including safety protocols and reporting requirements, is mandatory.
• Applicants must acknowledge that driving Airport Authority vehicles is an essential function of this role.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technology partner across the Airport Authority, helping teams solve business challenges and improve how enterprise applications support their work.
• Design, configure, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications—including PMWeb and Oracle JDE E1—to support construction, capital planning, finance, cost management, project controls, and other business operations.
• Build and improve workflows, forms, data elements, and other automations that simplify processes and make systems work better for users.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot integrations between enterprise applications, using tools such as MTG and Magic xpi to improve how information moves across systems.
• Partner with users to understand challenges, document functional and technical requirements, test solutions end to end, and turn business needs into workable technology solutions.
• Develop project strategies, business cases, and roadmaps while helping cross-functional teams evaluate options and determine practical paths forward.
• Collaborate with business users, technology teams, and vendors to troubleshoot complex issues, identify opportunities for improvement, implement solutions, and support successful adoption.
