About The Position

CEEUS is seeking a Business Application Developer to join their Business Systems team. This role focuses on extending Infor CloudSuite Distribution and Infor OS, building web applications, and integrating various systems. The position involves working within real operational and vendor-platform constraints, utilizing an AngularJS-based ERP extension framework, packaged applications, integrations, and custom tools. The role requires a pragmatic approach to development, understanding when to configure, extend, integrate, or build solutions. The Business Systems team is described as broader than a traditional IT department, aiming to improve CEEUS's capabilities through a coordinated system of people, process, technology, and data. The Business Data & Applications team specifically handles enterprise application and data capabilities for critical business functions.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated professional experience.
Five or more years delivering production web or enterprise applications as part of a team that used source control, review, testing, release, and support practices.
Strong JavaScript, HTML, and CSS skills, including experience developing and debugging browser-based interfaces.
Experience consuming REST APIs and interpreting technical API documentation, authentication requirements, data models, and error responses.
Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
Experience with source control, testing, release, and deployment practices.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical documentation skills.
Ability to learn quickly, work as part of a team, and move work forward in an environment of urgency.
Ability to effectively and responsibly leverage AI for development.

Nice To Haves

Experience extending or supporting ERP applications, vendor platforms, or other operational systems in a distribution, supply chain, or similar business environment.
Experience with AngularJS, Angular, React, or another component-based front-end framework.
ERP applications, vendor platforms, or supported extension frameworks in distribution, supply chain, warehousing, or another operational environment.
Application or service development using C#/.NET, Python, or another suitable server-side language.
API design and testing with OpenAPI/Swagger, Postman, or equivalent tools.
Application security, upgrade testing, integration support, and production monitoring.

Responsibilities

Design, build, test, deploy, and support browser-based business applications and ERP extensions using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and appropriate server-side technologies.
Use supported Infor extension points and vendor documentation so enhancements remain maintainable, stable, and upgradeable.
Create useful and accessible interfaces, components, validations, and workflows that reduce friction in operational work.
Consume REST APIs and build reliable integrations with appropriate authentication, validation, mappings, error handling, logging, retries, and monitoring.
Troubleshoot application defects, integration failures, performance issues, and user-reported problems; identify root causes and coordinate resolution across teams or vendors.
Support application upgrades, patches, vendor releases, technical testing, and regression testing; support user-acceptance and end-to-end process testing with business users and the accountable teams.
Use source control, peer review, testing, release, and documentation practices that make work understandable and supportable by others.
Translate business needs into practical technical designs, explain tradeoffs clearly, surface risks and mistakes early, and own what happens after deployment.
Strengthen team capability by sharing knowledge and introducing useful engineering discipline without unnecessary ceremony.
Responsible use of AI: CEEUS supports approved AI-assisted development tools. The developer remains accountable for independently validating the correctness, security, maintainability, and appropriateness of all resulting work.
