About The Position

The Talent and Skills Management Pod sits within the Talent, Skills & Legal Product Group under Corporate Platforms and is responsible for the enterprise HR platforms that enable how we manage performance, talent, succession, workforce planning, and skills across the colleague lifecycle. The pod partners closely with Talent Centers of Excellence to deliver scalable, compliant, and business‑aligned solutions, with Workday serving as the system of record for talent and skills data. This includes supporting Workday Talent Management capabilities and advancing enterprise skills enablement through Workday Skills Cloud and integrated skills intelligence platforms. The team balances day‑to‑day platform operations with strategic initiatives to modernize talent and skills capabilities in support of enterprise workforce and regulatory priorities.

Requirements

  • Advanced, hands‑on experience configuring Workday Talent Management functionality, including business process configuration and functional rule setup
  • Strong understanding of Workday HCM data structures as they relate to talent, performance, and succession processes
  • Ability to assess impacts of configuration changes across integrated Workday modules and downstream systems
  • Proven ability to lead functional design discussions and provide configuration recommendations with a business‑first lens
  • Experienced working professional role providing specialized business application management activities, advisory or process / program support within own area of sociality
  • Advanced knowledge of applications supported by the team including system components, functionality, interfaces, data flows, and business rules
  • Advanced knowledge of bank's Agile methodology. business testing and project management
  • Requires experienced, conceptual and practical knowledge within their own specialty and knowledge of broader related areas
  • Advanced understanding of business / functional drivers and processes supported for own area
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate with various business partners to explain complex technical issues with a business lens in easily understandable terms
  • Leads projects or work streams within broader projects with moderate risk and complexity, may be accountable for ongoing activities, processes and functional programs
  • Exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
  • Work performed under minimal management guidance and supervision
  • Identify and lead problem resolutions
  • Generally reports to a Manager or Senior Manager
  • Experience supporting enterprise‑scale Talent Management programs in Workday
  • Experience partnering with HR COEs on performance cycles, talent reviews, and succession planning
  • Experience supporting Workday releases, feature adoption, and change management for Talent Management functionality
  • Demonstrated experience developing, configuring, and maintaining Workday business processes supporting talent programs

Nice To Haves

  • Workday Pro Certification (Talent Management or HCM) strongly preferred
  • Undergraduate degree or technical certificate

Responsibilities

  • Configure, maintain, and enhance Workday Talent Management modules, including Performance Management, Talent Reviews, Calibration, Succession Planning, Skills, and Talent Profiles
  • Translate business requirements into Workday configuration, including business process frameworks, condition rules, validations, security, and notifications
  • Partner with HR stakeholders to design and optimize end‑to‑end talent management processes aligned to enterprise standards and best practices
  • Support testing activities related to Workday Talent Management configuration, including BAT execution, defect triage, and release validation
  • Ensure Workday Talent Management solutions comply with Data Governance, Privacy, Legal, and regulatory requirements
  • Responsible for business process documentation for all business applications owned/managed
  • Responsible for day to day operations process management to ensure consistency, and delivery according to established SLA
  • Work closely with the Test Lead to ensure common testing standards and practices are followed and adhered to
  • Provide support on deployment and change management for initiatives relating to applications owned / managed
  • Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Provide feedback and thoughts on possible solutions to issues/risks arising throughout the life cycle of a project, including adherence to enterprise application / data lifecycle practices
  • Identify and escalate risks that could impact project timelines or the quality of the deliverables to project manager and business owner, provide options and recommendation
  • Act as an escalation point for application and operation issues both directly and through internal/external business partners (including external vendors)
  • Act as a decision maker on projects—responsible for getting input from the appropriate SMEs in order to make decisions
  • Accountable for adhering to the EPMO project management methodology
  • Ensure adherence to the Data Governance Framework
  • Ensure adherence to guidelines and regulatory requirements under Privacy, Legal, Compliance, and the Office of the Chief Data Officer
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships within the team and with key stakeholders
  • Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise in own area and keep current with leading-edge technologies trends/developments
  • Continuously enhance knowledge of business domains and their products/services
  • Support the development of business cases including benefits identification
  • Support and/or implement solutions that mitigate risk and maximizes the availability of service, efficiency and effectiveness
