About The Position

WEAVE's mission is to promote safe and healthy relationships and support survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and sex trafficking. The Business and Community Engagement Strategist is responsible for leading the growth and advancement of WEAVE's Silence Doesn't Work Here initiative, a signature community engagement program designed to equip businesses and organizations with the knowledge, tools, and commitment needed to recognize, respond, and refer individuals impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault. This position revitalizes the initiative, expands participation, develops partnership and engagement strategies, and drives its successful implementation and long-term growth. The Strategist also serves as the key architect of WEAVE’s business and community engagement efforts, developing and implementing strategies that strengthen community partnerships, expand awareness, increase participation, and deepen support for WEAVE's mission. Working collaboratively, the Strategist guides community outreach, agency and community events, donation drives, volunteer engagement, and other initiatives to strengthen WEAVE's visibility and impact. This role is the primary staff liaison for WEAVE fundraising events, partnering across departments, sponsors, vendors, volunteers, and community organizations. The Strategist identifies opportunities to expand WEAVE's community presence, cultivate strategic partnerships, and create sustainable pathways for businesses and organizations to support survivors and advance WEAVE's mission. The successful candidate is a skilled relationship-builder, strategist, and ambassador who excels at cultivating partnerships, strengthening community connections, leading cross-functional initiatives, and generating sustainable community and business support.

  • Must be able to efficiently operate a keyboard and mouse or adaptive equivalent, write reports, take notes; utilize desk tools such as phones or calculators, and utilize larger office equipment such as printers and copy machines.

  • Must be able to apply above average reasoning and attention to detail as required in the accomplishment of job duties.
  • Willing and able to work positively with other staff and clients with broad arrays of backgrounds and life experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic revitalization, implementation, and growth of WEAVE's Silence Doesn't Work Here program.
  • Support the development and maintenance of participant materials, resource guides, toolkits, follow-up materials, and educational content.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective and participating organizations.
  • Facilitate and oversee Silence Doesn't Work Here presentations, trainings, and organizational onboarding activities.
  • Develop and implement annual program goals, growth strategies, and performance metrics.
  • Cultivate and steward relationships with participating organizations to increase retention, deepen engagement, and expand collaboration with WEAVE.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure program messaging, participant engagement, and recognition activities align with WEAVE's mission and strategic priorities.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the Community Engagement Coordinator and other internal staff, helping align community engagement activities with organizational priorities and goals.
  • Develop and implement strategies that strengthen community engagement activities, including agency and community events, donation drives, volunteer engagement opportunities, and outreach initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and internal lead for WEAVE fundraising events, coordinating engagement efforts with sponsors, community partners, volunteers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor engagement outcomes and community partnership activities, utilizing data and feedback to improve effectiveness and identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop and implement business and community engagement strategies that increase awareness, participation, and long-term support for WEAVE's mission.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with businesses, nonprofit organizations, and community partners to advance WEAVE's mission and strategic goals.
  • Identify, cultivate, and steward sponsorship opportunities that support WEAVE's programs, events, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Regularly represent WEAVE within the business community and at networking, community, and partnership events.
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for unassigned business partners.
  • Serve as a trusted liaison between WEAVE and partnering organizations.
  • Track and report on program outcomes, community engagement activities, partnership participation, and other key performance metrics.
  • Participate in annual and quarterly planning processes, including goal setting, work planning, and performance evaluation of program initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and data related to community engagement activities, partnerships, and program participation.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
