About The Position

Responsible for leading and supporting the Business Services Team while developing and maintaining relationships with employers, community organizations, and industry partners. Oversees employer engagement, business development, outreach strategies, and recruitment initiatives to expand employment opportunities and ensure high-quality workforce services. The Business & Community Engagement Manager will be responsible for building business relationships with current and new clients while overseeing activities for the Business Service Team. You will be responsible for providing leadership with guidance to the Business Service Team, assisting with the training of all Business Services Representatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Customer service experience, strong presentation abilities, and good interpersonal skills required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Regional travel is required
  • Able to work fully onsite, fully virtual, or in a hybrid environment
  • Clean driving record, valid Driver’s License, and reliable vehicle required

Nice To Haves

  • 5-7 years of previous management/supervisory experience preferred
  • Marketing and sales experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and support the Business Services Team to ensure effective employer engagement, business development, and service delivery
  • Develop and implement standardized processes for job orders, recruitment activities, On-the-Job Trainings (OJTs), Paid Work Experience (PWE), and employer communication workflows
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, community organizations, chambers, and workforce partners to expand hiring opportunities and collaborative initiatives
  • Monitor team compliance with program policies, regulations, documentation standards, and performance expectations while providing ongoing guidance and corrective support as needed
  • Lead or participate in industry roundtables, hiring events, business meetings, and community engagement activities to promote workforce services and strengthen partnerships
  • Support staff development through onboarding, training, mentoring, and performance coaching
  • Analyze labor market trends, employer hiring demands, and industry needs to support strategic outreach and workforce alignment efforts
  • Develop and execute marketing, outreach, and employer engagement strategies to increase business participation and service awareness
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure alignment of employer services, recruitment activities, customer referrals, and program goals
  • Conduct employer visits, job site reviews, and job task analyses to support successful placements
  • Track, monitor, and report team performance outcomes and business engagement metrics
  • Maintain current knowledge of workforce development trends, funding requirements, state and local regulations, and industry best practices
  • Develop and support work-based learning opportunities that align employer needs with participant skill development
