About The Position

The Business Analytics Manager (BAM) supports the management and execution of the Datacenter Physical Security Analytics team on a complex, multi $100M global client account, which provides physical security for datacenters. This role is responsible for furthering our data collections and analysis practice in support of the Datacenter Physical Security Operations program. This role is also responsible for leading and developing the business analysts and security operations design program manager. This role requires experience in data analytics, metrics optimizations, requirement gathering, data sourcing, query building, data analysis, and data visualization. This role will also manage reporting projects and initiatives, communicating findings with various stakeholders which could include executive audiences. A successful candidate will be able to interact with the client and business teams with a service-focused approach. Seeking a candidate with the ability to balance priorities, who is intellectually curious, with demonstrated PowerBI experience, and excellent attention to detail. This role is highly collaborative in nature providing support for both internal and client teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role managing a team of data analysts.
  • Expertise in Microsoft PowerBI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and database management.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • 3+ Years serving in a people manager role.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a reliable means of communication, such as cell phone.
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private).
  • Must have the legal right to work in the country the position is based out of.
  • Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Must have a high school diploma, secondary education equivalent, or GED.
  • Must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, or related field or equivalent experience and 5 years of demonstrated experience in this discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in development, architecture, and analyst experience to support design of enterprise Business Intelligence Solutions.
  • 3 years of experience developing dashboards, governed reports, embedded analytics, and visualizations using Power BI as a data analyst/data scientist.
  • 1 year of experience in full data warehouse implementation and knowledge of developing a highly performance repot and visualization.
  • 3 years of direct supervisory or management experience.
  • Highly proficient with SQL to process complex datasets from multiple sources quickly.
  • Highly proficient with data visualization in PowerBI.
  • Experience implementing Power BI within SharePoint.
  • Advanced-level skill using Microsoft Office Suite including Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio and SharePoint.
  • Extensive computer Operations System knowledge.
  • Some understanding of Azure Data Services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data analysts and security operations design program manager.
  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and reports that support the datacenter physical security program.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver comprehensive analytics solutions that deliver accurate and insightful business insights.
  • Creates compelling visualizations of data to provide necessary business information and insights to stakeholders for making business decisions.
  • Manage the analytics project lifecycle from requirement gathering to deployment and maintenance.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all analytics platforms.
  • Establish and implement and ensure data accuracy and integrity quality control measures.
  • Maintain access controls based on data sensitivity requirements.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to support the growth of the Datacenter Physical Security program.
  • Ensures stakeholder requirements are captured, agreed upon, communicated and measured.
  • Builds custom Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring a compelling, consistent, and accurate story across all audiences.
  • Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into digestible and actionable format, all while balancing competing priorities
  • Proactively analyze key reports to make recommendations on trends that should be investigated by teams responsible for the data.
  • Detail-orientated, critical thinker with the ability to analyze complex data sets, distill insights, and forecast trends.
  • Investigate new or emerging Microsoft technologies for implementation to continuously improve our reporting capabilities.
  • Automates and streamlines reports and daily tasks.
  • Supports the program teams with essential reporting functions, compliance tracking, data analysis, and documentation.
  • Participates in cross-functional teams to deliver data on strategic initiatives for special projects.
  • Conducts a formal review of reporting-related documentation at a minimum of once per year.
  • Maintains a “customer service” approach to problem solving and works with client to find solutions to questions or concerns.
  • At the direction of the Senior Global Manager, delivers ad hoc reports and performs other duties as assigned to ensure the overall success of the Datacenter Physical Security program.
