About The Position

This role is accountable for identifying, shaping, and delivering strategic results through multiple business analytics disciplines. The Business Analytics Lead collaborates with business leaders to provide thought partnership and drive decision-making based on data and analytical insights across different parts of the organization. This individual will have a seat at the table with the leaders they support to influence the strategic direction of the organization and solve complex, high-priority problems. They must be able to make analytically sound decisions, often based on limited information, that inform solutions for business priorities. Reporting to the head of the Provider Operational Health team, this individual will be responsible for providing strategy and analytics support for the operation. The PX&O team builds and delivers inspiring, efficient service experiences that ensure our providers, customers, and patients are at the forefront of our service focus. The role will lead multiple Strategy and Analytics teams supporting the PX&O organization, working closely with Operations partners to deeply understand business problems, guide the development of analytical models/insights, and build compelling business cases that positively influence outcomes. In partnership with the PX&O leadership team, they will help develop and execute the strategic agenda, including multi-year strategic planning. Through their team, they will develop business cases, secure funding for prioritized strategic initiatives, and coordinate strategic efforts with broader enterprise business partners. This is a high visibility role that requires building and maintaining strong partnerships with cross-functional organizations within operations, tech, product, and business partner teams. The role will influence new technology solutions that improve both provider & customer experience and generate efficiencies, develop and/or influence analytical models that generate insights to solve business problems, and act as a key thought partner for the executives they support. They will directly manage Director and Senior Manager led teams, providing thought leadership on work products, removing obstacles, and developing high-performing, engaged teams.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Math, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Business or related field is required.
  • At least 4 years of work experience in consulting or business analysis.
  • Strong analytical and finance skills are required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including an ability to present work products to senior executives.

Nice To Haves

  • M.B.A. or other relevant graduate degree in Math, Economics, Statistics, or Engineering is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience with business, operations or similar applicable experience is preferred.
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience is preferred.
  • Experience in operations strategy and analytics is preferred.
  • Experience leveraging SQL in a business environment is preferred.

  • Employ a range of analytical techniques to identify business opportunities and make strategic recommendations.
  • Identify the right analytical approach for each situation, understanding model strengths and weaknesses.
  • Incorporate new/additional analytical approaches into the operation with partner AI and data teams.
  • Make analytically grounded strategic recommendations using clear and effective business case approaches.
  • Identify transformational opportunities for change through partnership with business, operations, and horizontal teams.
  • Engage in and influence strategic discussions at the VP+ level.
  • Create compelling business cases and recommendations using deck building skills for senior executives.
  • Use data visualization skills to communicate data-driven insights, storytelling, and business case analysis.
  • Distill deep analytical work and insights into succinct, easily consumable decks.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Finance, and business teams.
  • Act as a resource for insights, data generation, and strategic deck building for specific operations teams.
  • Work closely with Finance on business case analysis, budgeting, and strategic decision-making.
  • Partner broadly across the business in a strategic and analytical capacity.
  • Partner with Product, Technology, and Operations teams to develop a strategic roadmap for future technology solutions.
  • Lead strategy sessions, analyze value creation, and develop outcome-based insights for validating results.
