About The Position

As a Business Analytics Lead Analyst supporting Dental Economics, you will leverage data, analytics, and market intelligence to drive informed business decisions that support affordable network growth and enhanced customer value. You will analyze provider contracting performance, claims utilization, competitive dynamics, and industry trends to identify opportunities and deliver actionable insights. Working closely with Dental Economics, Network Management, Clinical, Product, and other business leaders, you will translate complex data into meaningful recommendations that influence strategy and operational outcomes. In this role, you will apply advanced analytical techniques, develop models and reporting solutions, and uncover trends that support provider contracting, network optimization, and market growth initiatives. You will be expected to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and bring creativity and strategic thinking to solve complex business challenges. Your ability to synthesize data from multiple sources and communicate findings clearly will help stakeholders make more informed decisions and achieve business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Data Analytics, or related field
  • 3+ years of post-graduate degree and/or industry related work experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, Word
  • Proficient in SQL along with Python and/or SAS or R
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and data analysis skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare, dental claims analytics
  • Experience analyzing provider contracts, claims utilization, network performance, or cost-of-care trends
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Experience developing models, dashboards, and reporting solutions that support business decision-making
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations for business stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Newly created role to support Dental Economics including analytics of provider cost and utilization to drive affordable network growth.
  • Develop reports, models, dashboards, and analytic solutions that help teams understand provider performance, network impact, and business trends.
  • Query data warehouses, extract claims and product data, and transform complex data into clear reporting for client and business needs.
  • Consults in collaboration with senior business leaders to clarify requests, frame business questions, and recommend practical analytic approaches.
  • Mentors junior members of the team, assisting them with learning best practices and sharing expertise with broader team.
  • Support ad hoc analytics for internal and external stakeholders by combining business knowledge, data insights and technical skills in SQL, SAS, and other tools.
  • Collaborate across departments to align stakeholders, support project handoffs, and provide subject matter expertise for initiatives.
  • Manage multiple priorities, negotiate timelines, and deliver work within agreed service levels and project deadlines.
  • Communicate findings, risks, next steps, and outcomes in a clear, concise way that supports open dialogue and shared decision-making.
