About The Position

KBX Logistics is seeking a Business Analytics & Insights Intern who is excited about discovering their passions and potential while gaining real-world experience solving business challenges through data. As an intern, you will work alongside experienced analytics professionals to help transform data into actionable insights that support decision-making across our transportation and logistics operations. In this role, you'll gain exposure to reporting, data visualization, process improvement, and analytics projects that help our teams operate more effectively. Whether you're building dashboards, analyzing trends, or helping solve business problems, you'll have the opportunity to contribute meaningful work while developing technical and professional skills.

Requirements

Eligible for full-time employment no later than Summer 2028
Currently enrolled in a business degree program such as Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Accounting, Finance, Agribusiness, or related fields
Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Experience with data analytics concepts (data transformation, exploratory analysis, insights)
Strong analytical judgment, curiosity, and the ability to ask the right questions of data and stakeholders
Critical thinking, curiosity, and strong communication skills
Familiarity with modern analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Microsoft Fabric Suite, Power BI, Alteryx)
Experience using generative or agentic AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar) to enhance analysis, automate repetitive tasks, or support decision-making
Knowledge of data querying and programming fundamentals (e.g., SQL, Python)

Responsibilities

Partner with business and analytics teams to analyze operational data, identify trends, and develop insights that support transportation and logistics decisions.
Design, build, and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using tools such as Power BI to improve visibility and decision-making.
Support strategic projects by conducting data analysis, market research, forecasting, and scenario modeling to evaluate opportunities and business risks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, analytics, and business leaders, to solve problems and improve processes.
Leverage emerging technologies, including AI and automation tools, to enhance reporting, uncover insights, and improve analytical capabilities.
Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders while gaining exposure to how data influences operational, financial, and strategic decisions across the organization.
