About The Position

The Business Analytics Director is a Band 5 Management Career Track Role responsible for identifying, shaping, and delivering strategic results through multiple business analytics disciplines. This role collaborates with Product, Operations, and Business leaders to provide thought partnership and drive decision-making based on analytical insights across the organization. The Director will have a seat at the leadership table to influence strategic direction and solve complex, high-priority problems, making analytically sound decisions often based on limited information. This is a fully remote opportunity, with specific location-based requirements for hybrid work. The role reports to the Senior Director of the Client and Customer Experience (C&CE) Horizontal Strategy & Analytics team and will provide strategy and analytics support for the Servicing Tech and Product (STP) organization, which owns the technology and data infrastructure for efficient customer experiences. The Director will lead a Business Analysis (BA) team, working closely with Product, Operations, and Technology teams to understand business problems, guide analytical model development, and build business cases. This role will also partner with the Senior Leadership team (STP) on strategic agenda execution, multi-year planning, business case development, funding acquisition, and coordination with Enterprise business partners. The BA team will be highly visible across the C&CE organization, influencing new technology solutions, developing analytical models for insights, acting as a thought partner for executives, and building compelling business cases for senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Business or related field
  • 8+ years of experience with business, operations or similar applicable experience
  • 2+ years of people leadership experience is required
  • Strong analytical and finance skills are required
  • Strong communication (oral and written) and presentation skills, including an ability to present work products to senior executives
  • Internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload if working from home occasionally or permanently.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or other relevant graduate degree in Math, Economics, Statistics, or Engineering preferred
  • At least 4 years of work experience in consulting or business analysis
  • Experience leveraging SQL in a business environment

Responsibilities

  • Recruit and sustain a high-performing analytics team capable of providing exceptional analytics and strategic insights to primary executive partner organizations.
  • Set a high bar for excellence, coach current associates, and recruit/develop high-potential talent.
  • Create a collaborative culture with a high degree of ownership and exceptional support for internal customers.
  • Leverage a data-first approach to identify critical business trends and insights, making specific actionable recommendations.
  • Work closely with data teams to understand relevant operations, business, and other data.
  • Influence future state data architecture as a "customer" of the data.
  • Employ a range of analytical techniques to identify business opportunities and make strategic recommendations.
  • Identify the appropriate analytical approach for each situation, understanding model strengths and weaknesses.
  • Work closely with partner AI teams to identify opportunities for leveraging new analytical approaches.
  • Make analytically grounded strategic recommendations using proven business acumen.
  • Identify transformational opportunities for change through partnership with operations, business, and other horizontal teams.
  • Engage in strategic discussions at the VP+ level.
  • Build compelling business cases and recommendations using deck-building skills to influence outcomes with senior executives.
  • Distill deep analytical work and insights into succinct, easily consumable decks for various partners.
  • Partner closely with Product, Operations, Technology, and Finance teams.
  • Act as a key partner for the Product team, providing insights, data generation, and strategic deck building.
  • Work closely with Finance in developing business case analysis, budgeting, and strategic decision-making.
  • Partner to generate future state strategy and insights across the business.
  • Partner with Product, Technology, and Operations teams to develop a strategic roadmap for future technology solutions.
  • Lead strategy sessions, analyze value creation, and develop outcome-based insights for validating results.
