About The Position

The Business Analyst in the Information Technology department, reporting to the Director of Enterprise Applications, is responsible for the coordination, management, testing and development of ancillary applications and secondary support of the College's Enterprise Applications. The IT Business Analyst will be working with the other IT Business Analysts and Enterprise Applications developers to gather requirements, manage projects, coordinate testing, and validate data. The IT Business Analyst will work with the College’s Functional Areas to recommend and support business process needs and improvements. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Ability to use Excel and other tools to manipulate data
  • Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, MS Project, LucidChart
  • Demonstrates strong communication and writing skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and meet negotiated timelines with high quality deliverables

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing Workday-related projects and enhancement request.
  • Support configuration of Workday business processes, integrations, condition rules, and validation criteria.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves complex development, testing, and production issues.
  • Create and maintain documentation for requirements gathering, business processes, integrations, procedures, and system configuration.
  • Collect, analyze, and translate business requirements into user stories, workflows, business process logic, process maps, wireframes, specifications, and acceptance criteria.
  • Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects through developing project plans and monitoring performance.
  • Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Adhere to the College's information security policies and follow information security procedures.
  • Consult with the College's information security staff for guidance on best practices.
  • Daily Ticket Triage: Monitor the Freshservice ticketing queue daily, conducting initial triage, troubleshooting, and independent research to resolve technical and operational issues prior to escalation where appropriate.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to determine a strategy and vision for software applications, including business needs and requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and users, building strong relationships and becoming a trusted partner and subject matter expert.
  • Create and maintain business relationships with respective stakeholders on campus, and support their work and functional needs with relevant expertise.
  • Be an active participant in the life of the College by attending and supporting key events like Commencement, Homecoming, and other all-hands-on-deck gatherings. Show a spirit of collaboration and community involvement, including volunteering when possible.
