About The Position

PrimeSource is a leading national distributor of building materials serving residential, commercial, and industrial customers across North America. With a broad distribution network and portfolio of owned brands, PrimeSource supports growth through operational excellence, strategic expansion, and disciplined financial execution. PrimeSource is seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst for a summer opportunity within the Finance team. This role will support acquisition initiatives, strategic growth projects, and executive-level financial analysis. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and interested in corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, strategy, and data-driven decision making.

Requirements

• Pursuing or recently completed a master's degree in business administration, Finance or Accounting
• Strong Excel and analytical skills required
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work with confidential information professionally
• Interest in acquisitions, investment analysis, and corporate strategy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience with PowerPoint and presentation development preferred
• Prior full time experience in finance, banking, consulting, or analytics
• Exposure to financial modeling or valuation concepts
• Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools is a plus

Responsibilities

• Support acquisition and growth strategy initiatives through research and analysis
• Build and maintain financial models related to acquisition opportunities
• Analyze company financials, trends, and operational performance
• Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and scenario modeling
• Prepare and review pitch decks, presentations, and investment materials
• Conduct market research on target companies, industries, and competitors
• Summarize findings for Finance leadership and executive stakeholders
• Support ad hoc strategic projects as assigned
