Business Analyst
About The Position
MONTICELLOAM, LLC and its affiliates (“Monticello”) is a real estate and asset-based lender providing asset management and comprehensive capital solutions for healthcare, multifamily, and commercial real estate assets throughout the US. We are seeking motivated, collaborative professionals who bring creativity, compassion, and a strong work ethic to a dynamic team environment. We are looking for a Business Analyst to partner with teams across the business – exploring business problems and delivering clear, data-driven solutions. You’ll develop and generate the reports and analyses leaders rely on, and help manage delivery with our offshore development teams. You'll sit at the intersection of finance, data, and technology, turning open questions into shipped solutions. This role is fully in person. Candidates must be able to work onsite at our New York City office.
Requirements
- Proven ability to understand business challenges and deliver data-driven solutions
- Experience generating ad hoc reports and analyses for business stakeholders
- Strong SQL skills for querying and data modeling
- Familiar with Python for data analysis, automation, and reporting
Nice To Haves

- DBT for data transformations
- Snowflake or another cloud data warehouse
- Working with offshore or distributed development teams
- Airflow or other orchestration tools
- LLMs for effective coding and productivity
- Strong finance domain knowledge
Responsibilities
- Partnering with business stakeholders to understand and document business requirements
- Generating ad hoc reports and analyses that answer time-sensitive business questions
- Writing Python and SQL to extract, transform, and analyze data across the business
- Taking projects end to end – from business problem through delivered solution
- Project management support – helping coordinate and manage our offshore development teams to keep delivery on track
- Automated Data Quality and QC processes that keep reporting accurate and trusted
- Dashboards and reporting that drive portfolio decisions
- AI initiatives across the business – including workflow automation, data ingestion, and analysis and insights
