R1 is seeking a Business Analyst (Epic-focused) to support large hospital clients through data-driven reporting, analysis, and insights. This is a newly created role due to growth with key clients and will play a hands-on role in running reports, analyzing trends, and responding to ad hoc client requests. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Excel, experienced working with Epic data in a hospital or revenue cycle environment, and comfortable working directly with client-facing delivery teams.

Requirements

2+ years of experience in an analytics or reporting-focused role
Hands-on experience with Epic (required) in a hospital or revenue cycle environment
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookup functions
Experience working with healthcare or hospital clients, with the ability to communicate professionally and clearly
Proven ability to independently run reports, analyze trends, and drive work forward

Responsibilities

Prepare complex deliverables in Excel spreadsheets in a consistent and reusable format.
Complete target-to-source mappings, supporting the development of data pipelines.
Perform data validation, reconciliation, and QA to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Translate raw data into clear insights for internal teams and, over time, assist with client-facing presentations.
Partner with delivery teams to troubleshoot data, process, or system-related issues.
Respond to ad hoc client requests requiring quick analysis and clear communication.
Meet routine deadlines while managing multiple reporting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards of business ethics and conduct.
