The Business Analyst is responsible for evaluating complex operational challenges, identifying root causes, and delivering data-driven recommendations that improve business performance. This role leverages data analytics, business intelligence tools, SQL, and operational metrics to generate actionable insights, monitor labor effectiveness, and support strategic decision-making. The Business Analyst partners closely with operational leaders and cross-functional teams to transform data into meaningful dashboards, reports, and recommendations that drive operational efficiency, workforce optimization, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field required.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in business analysis, operational analytics, business intelligence, financial analysis, or a related analytical role.
  • Experience developing dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Experience writing SQL queries to extract and analyze large datasets.
  • Experience analyzing operational performance metrics and presenting findings to business leaders.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to solve complex business problems.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and data analysis techniques.
  • Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of KPI development, operational metrics, and performance measurement.
  • Ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insights and executive-level presentations.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify process optimization opportunities.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications (preferred), such as Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst, Tableau Desktop Specialist, Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), or Lean Six Sigma.
  • Experience supporting healthcare, pharmacy, logistics, or operations-focused organizations.
  • Experience with workforce planning, labor productivity analysis, or operational performance reporting.
  • Experience working with enterprise systems such as Workday, SQL Server or similar data platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex operational performance, identify root causes of business challenges, and develop actionable recommendations to improve efficiency and outcomes.
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, scorecards, reports, and data visualizations that provide meaningful insights into key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational trends.
  • Utilize SQL and business intelligence tools to extract, validate, analyze, and interpret data from multiple systems while ensuring data integrity and reporting accuracy.
  • Monitor labor productivity, workforce utilization, and operational efficiency metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements and resource optimization.
  • Partner with operational leaders and business stakeholders to understand reporting needs, define analytical requirements, and develop scalable reporting solutions.
  • Present analytical findings, performance trends, and strategic recommendations to leadership in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
  • Evaluate business processes and recommend improvements that enhance operational performance, reduce costs, and support organizational goals.
  • Develop and maintain reporting documentation, business definitions, and analytical processes to promote consistency and data governance.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to improve reporting logic, data structures, and business intelligence capabilities.
  • Support strategic initiatives through data analysis, performance measurement, and continuous process improvement.
