Requirements

  • 5-7 years as a Business Analyst, Technical BA, or similar role
  • Experience working with technical teams (data, engineering, platform)
  • Track record of translating business needs into technical requirements
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environments
  • Experience with data platforms, BI tools, or analytics environments
  • Understanding of software development and data development concepts at an enterprise scale
  • AI/LLM tool proficiency
  • Prior Databricks experience is not required – Database experience + willingness to learn is sufficient
  • Stakeholder Management: Navigate competing priorities across multiple business units
  • Requirements Elicitation: Ask clarifying questions that uncover hidden needs
  • Communication: Clear written documentation and verbal communication
  • Self-Direction: Proactive, doesn't wait for assignments, identifies next steps
  • Project Coordination: Keep multiple initiatives moving

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Databricks experience NOT required - SQL + willingness to learn is sufficient
  • Familiarity with tools such as Miro, Lucid, Gliffy, Visio etc.
  • Explore and reference data from systems such as Salesforce

Responsibilities

  • Gain high-level understanding or projects from the Director and leadership meetings, fleshing out details
  • Conduct follow-up interviews with stakeholders to uncover granular requirements
  • Transform vague asks into real specs: source systems touched, definition of done, stakeholder sign-off, priority tier
  • Use AI (Claude, ChatGPT, Genie Code) to analyze Slack & Email threads, draft requirements, and explore data
  • Work with technical teams to translate business language into technical requirements delivery teams can act on
  • Work with Director to ideate high-level solution approaches
  • Create well-structured epics and Jira tickets with clear acceptance criteria
  • Work with Data Platform and Data Services managers to prioritize and plan work
  • Contribute to quarterly planning alongside team managers and Director
  • Keep multiple balls in the air when teams are focused on delivery
  • Create a single intake front door for RevOps, Finance, and other Enterprise & Product team requests
  • Understand Enterprise teams' data needs and pain points and represent Enterprise voices in technical decisions
  • Maintain Confluence documentation of design decisions, findings, finalized definitions
  • Pursue sign-offs from stakeholders to keep work moving
  • Coordinate cross-team handoffs between Data Services and Data Platform
