About The Position

This role focuses on translating application functionality, enhancements, and updates into guides and reference materials that help end users effectively use the systems. The Business Analyst will work closely with IT and Contract Management Support (CMS) staff to develop and maintain clear, user-friendly documentation for internal applications. The position requires extensive experience reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs, with a thorough understanding of business analysis areas of knowledge and its associated activities and tasks. Candidates should have experience participating in software development reviews, providing advice and assistance to other team members in analysis, design, and test, and performing or participating in unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing. Strong skills in planning and organizing work to meet goals and complete multiple assignments without compromising accuracy are essential, along with experience in software development lifecycle methodologies. Experience creating user-focused technical or instructional documentation, developing or maintaining screenshots or other visual aids, and the ability to work effectively with staff and translate technical concepts into plain language are also preferred.

Requirements

• 8 or more years of experience
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Independently performs a variety of complicated tasks
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
• Min 5 years of experience
• Served as a liaison between the Business community and Customer IT Teams (i.e., Architecture, Project Delivery, Application Sustain, etc.)
• Strong experience as a Data Analyst in analyzing raw data
• Strong experience as a Business Analyst in requirements gathering
• Understanding technology
• Extensive experience reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs
• Experience and thorough understanding of the business analysis areas of knowledge and its associated activities and tasks
• Experience participating in software development reviews and providing advice and assistance to other team members in analysis, design, and test
• Experience performing or participating in unit testing, support system testing, and user acceptance testing
• Extensive skill in planning and organizing work to meet goals and complete multiple assignments without compromising accuracy
• Experience in software development lifecycle methodologies

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with IT developers, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand application functionality and enhancements
• Develop and maintain user guides, how to documents, and other application related documentation
• Create and maintain visual aids, including screenshots and step by step visuals, to support written instructions
• Update documentation and visual materials to reflect new features, enhancements, or system changes developed by IT staff
• Organize and present technical information in a clear, concise, and accessible manner for non-technical users
• Ensure all documentation and visual content is accurate, current, and aligned with application functionality
• Participate in meetings, demos, or walkthroughs to gather information on system changes and updates
• Assist in updates and development of training materials
• Serve as a liaison between the Business community and Customer IT Teams (i.e., Architecture, Project Delivery, Application Sustain, etc.)
• Analyze raw data

• Formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies
• Engage in business process reengineering

• Write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs
