About The Position

The Business Analyst will assess client practices and gain an understanding of clients’ business processes relevant to industry trends and project goals. This role involves transmitting user demands to developers, preparing software requirements and specifications, user stories, and design documents such as wireframes and flowcharts. The analyst will also be responsible for testing system functionality in QC and UAT, brainstorming requirements for software solutions, and participating in requirements gathering. Additionally, the role includes designing new programs by analyzing client requirements, making recommendations for system improvements, documenting processes, and preparing user stories. The Business Analyst will manage multiple projects simultaneously, reevaluating priorities and deadlines, and utilizing Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, for project delivery. Key tasks include creating and maintaining user stories, defects, and project documentation in Jira, and collaborating closely with the Product Owner and Engineering Manager to ensure project milestones are met.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Analytical and conceptual skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple responsibilities effectively

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years related experience
  • Technical writing experience
  • Certified Product Owner (CPO) or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) is a plus
  • Experience with Jira
  • Knowledge of Land and Property Recording at the county/parish or state level is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain user stories, defects, project documentation in Jira.
  • Work closely with Product Owner and Engineering Manager to ensure project milestones are met.
