About The Position

HealthPartners is seeking a Business Analyst to support the development and delivery of high-quality digital experiences on the HealthPartners website. This role involves partnering with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements, prioritizing IT initiatives, and managing change-management activities. The Analyst will focus on maintaining and optimizing the public website (healthpartners.com) in collaboration with Marketing, SEO, and content teams to ensure cohesive, on-brand experiences. Additionally, the role will work with Care digital teams to enhance the end-to-end scheduling experience and contribute to strategic initiatives like the “Care Refresh” project, aimed at modernizing the care delivery section of the website. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and critical thinking skills, experience with requirements gathering and translation, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, Legal, Risk and Compliance, and IT in a fast-paced, agile environment. This position requires balancing daily operational support with strategic project work and utilizing data-driven insights for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or a related field; or 4+ years of equivalent IT experience
  • One (1) year of Business Analyst experience and two (2) years of IT or marketing/communications experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical and non-technical information effectively to diverse stakeholders, including senior leaders.
  • Excellent organizational, detail management, and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize work, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with a system-thinking approach
  • Hands-on experience working with databases, programming languages, and/or end-user software in a networked environment.
  • Working knowledge of one or more programming languages
  • Proficiency in standard business tools, including word processing, email, and spreadsheet software.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
  • Strong people skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze issues and resolve problems effectively.
  • Ability to manage a high degree of change and adapt quickly.
  • Strong judgment, including conflict resolution and arbitration skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in marketing or experience supporting marketing-related initiatives.
  • Experience with industry tools such as Adobe Workfront, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Screaming Frog, Eventbrite, and ServiceNow are strongly preferred.
  • Expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) is a top priority for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Develops technical specifications in alignment with defined functional requirements.
  • Interprets and documents business partner needs into functional requirements.
  • Reviews application problems: informing IT's business partners of status and expected resolutions.
  • Serves as a liaison between business partners and application development team members to analyze, document and validate functional requirements.
  • Designs screens, reports, and dataflow to align with business needs.
  • Documents and tracks business application request lifecycles; ensuring priorities, changes and issues are managed for IS&T application development.
  • Gathers information regarding costs and resource availability for SRFs, mid-sized projects and issue resolution.
  • Tracks, maintains, and retains documentation that supports the adherence to IT standards, processes, and procedures.
  • Clarifies and documents process, policy, and/or procedural changes for development staff and for IT business partners.
  • Ensures that the appropriate approvals and documentation for change control and problem management are retained.
  • Provides training, documentation, and support for IT’s business partners for system changes and/or new developments.
  • Documents data flows through applications; demonstrating system functionality.
  • Creates and executes test plans for small to mid-sized system changes.
  • Assists with business partner testing efforts and test plan creation, running programs and producing reports to enable business partners testing.
