Business Analyst – Global Environmental Group
About The Position
The Global Environmental Group (GEG) Business Analyst is a member of the bank’s Global Environmental Group (GEG) team. This role reports to Global Environmental Executive and is accountable to Net Zero Strategy pillar lead. This individual is responsible for working closely with other GEG and Public Policy colleagues, along with the bank’s lines of business (LOBs), Global Technology, Risk, Finance and other groups, to help deliver on the bank’s Net Zero commitment. Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in financial services, sustainability, ESG, environmental strategy, risk, finance, consulting, or a related field
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including experience working with large datasets and performance metrics
- Experience developing executive-level presentations and communications
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience collaborating across complex organizations and with diverse stakeholder groups
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, proficiency in AI prompting a plus
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental sustainability
- Experience in climate change, GHG accounting, ESG or sustainability strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Support monitoring of BofA’s 2030 sectoral net zero goals associated with our financing activities
- Assist with development and maintenance of voluntary commitment and regulatory requirements
- Assist with advancing engagement strategies with internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with the execution of team processes and control documentation
- Work with pillar lead in the execution of team priorities and tasks
- Engage with data lead to advance and deliver analytical capabilities of the team
- Develop presentations to communicate sectoral net zero performance, among other related topics
- Support vendor management, audit, compliance, and risk requests
- Engage with external partners, including peer banks, NGOs, and stakeholders, to develop guidelines and best practices and monitor industry trends
- Perform research and represent the GEG at internal and external events as needed
