The University of Southern California’s Information Technology Services (ITS) organization supports the technology, systems, and services that help USC deliver on its academic, research, and administrative mission. ITS partners with students, faculty, staff, and university leaders to improve core operations, strengthen service delivery, and support a modern technology environment across the university. Within ITS, the Workday Financials Support team supports key financial systems and business processes used across the university. This includes work connected to procure-to-pay, assets, financial accounting, and related Workday financial transactions. The team partners closely with internal ITS colleagues and university stakeholders, including groups such as the Comptroller’s Office, Business Services, and other teams involved in financial transactions and business operations. ITS is committed to a collaborative, service-oriented culture where employees are encouraged to solve meaningful problems, communicate openly, and contribute to practical solutions that improve the university experience. USC’s Information Technology Services team is seeking a Business Analyst to support Workday Financials and related ERP financial business processes. This role will contribute to a mix of production support, enhancements, project work, requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, testing, and stakeholder support. In this role, the Business Analyst will work closely with business partners, stakeholders, technical teams, and other ITS colleagues to understand needs, document current and future-state processes, support user-centered solutions, and help translate business goals into clear, actionable requirements. The role requires someone who can ask thoughtful questions, analyze business and system impacts, document clearly, and work collaboratively in a high-volume support environment. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on business analysis experience supporting financial systems, ERP platforms, or technology-enabled business processes. Workday Financials experience is preferred, but candidates with experience supporting other ERP financial systems may also bring valuable experience to the role.
